Indulge in the rich, chewy goodness of 3-Ingredient Date Snickers! Combining creamy peanut butter and dark chocolate, these treats are a guilt-free delight.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)
  • Sea salt (to taste)
  • Chopped peanuts (for topping, optional)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Begin by placing the pitted Medjool dates in a food processor and pulse until they form a sticky paste. You may need to scrape down the sides a few times to ensure even consistency.
  2. Step 2: Next, add the natural peanut butter to the date mixture and blend until well combined and smooth. The mixture should be thick and easily moldable.
  3. Step 3: Line a small baking dish or tray with parchment paper. Press the date and peanut butter mixture evenly into the bottom of the dish to form a layer about 1/2 inch thick.
  4. Step 4: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in short intervals of 20 seconds, stirring in between, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  5. Step 5: Pour the melted chocolate over the pressed date and peanut butter layer, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Sprinkle sea salt and chopped peanuts on top if desired. Place the dish in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to set.
  6. Step 6: Once set, remove from the refrigerator, cut into bars or squares, and enjoy your delicious homemade Date Snickers!

Notes

  • For optimal freshness, store your Date Snickers in an airtight container in the refrigerator, where they can last for up to a week.
  • If you prefer a warm treat, gently reheat individual bars in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds; just be cautious not to overheat and melt the chocolate too much.
  • Serve these Date Snickers with a sprinkle of extra chopped peanuts on top for added crunch, and consider pairing them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a delightful dessert experience.
  • For a rich chocolate coating, adding coconut oil when melting the chocolate chips will help achieve that smooth and glossy finish, making your bars visually appealing as well as delicious!
