Ingredients
- Cod fillets: 2 (6-8 ounce each)
- Olive oil: 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
- Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
- Paprika: 1/2 teaspoon
- Dried oregano: 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt: 1/4 teaspoon
- Black pepper: 1/4 teaspoon
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 2: Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels. This will help them crisp up nicely.
- Step 3: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Step 4: Brush the mixture evenly over both sides of the cod fillets.
- Step 5: Place the cod fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Step 6: Air fry for 8-12 minutes, or until the cod is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
Notes
- Leftover air-fried cod keeps well in the fridge for up to 2 days; store it in an airtight container to prevent it from drying out.
- To reheat, gently warm the cod in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 2-3 minutes, or until heated through, being careful not to overcook it.
- Serve your air-fried cod with a bright lemon wedge and a side of roasted vegetables or a simple salad for a complete and healthy meal.
- For extra flavor, let the cod marinate in the olive oil mixture for at least 15 minutes before air frying.
