Ingredients
- Cream cheese, softened – 8 ounces
- Sour cream – 16 ounces
- Ranch dressing mix – 1 ounce packet
- Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained – 10 ounces
- Shredded cheddar cheese – 1 cup
- Cooked bacon, crumbled – 1/2 cup
- Green onions, chopped – 1/4 cup
- Garlic powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, ranch dressing mix, and garlic powder. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Step 2: Add the undrained Rotel tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and chopped green onions to the bowl.
- Step 3: Gently fold all the ingredients together until everything is evenly distributed. Be careful not to overmix.
- Step 4: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Step 5: Serve cold with tortilla chips, crackers, or vegetables.
Notes
- Store leftover dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- While best served cold, you can microwave individual portions for a warm, cheesy dip, but heat in short intervals to prevent separation.
- Serve this crowd-pleaser with a variety of dippers, like celery sticks and pretzel crisps, for different textures and flavors.
- For a richer flavor, use cream cheese at room temperature and avoid overmixing after adding Rotel to keep the tomatoes intact.
