Ingredients
- Salmon fillets (skin on or off): 4 (6-8 ounce)
- Unsalted butter: 1/2 cup (1 stick), softened
- Honey: 2 tablespoons
- Cajun seasoning: 2 tablespoons
- Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
- Fresh parsley: 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt and pepper: To taste
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Step 2: In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, honey, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, lemon juice, and parsley. Mix well until fully combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Step 3: Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Spread the Cajun honey butter evenly over the top of each fillet.
- Step 4: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
- Step 5: Optionally, broil for the last 1-2 minutes to caramelize the top, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- Step 6: Garnish with extra parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftover salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- For best results, gently reheat leftover salmon in a skillet over low heat to prevent it from drying out.
- Serve this flavorful salmon over a bed of rice or quinoa to soak up all the delicious Cajun honey butter.
- For extra flavor, let the honey butter mixture sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld before using.
