Delicious cheeseburger quesadillas recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Ground beef: 1 pound
  • Taco seasoning: 1 packet
  • Cheddar cheese, shredded: 2 cups
  • Flour tortillas (large): 6
  • Onion, chopped: 1/2 cup
  • Tomato, diced: 1 medium
  • Lettuce, shredded: 1 cup
  • Ketchup: 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Step 2: Stir in the taco seasoning according to package directions. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Lay a tortilla flat. Sprinkle half of the tortilla with 1/4 of the cheese, 1/4 of the beef mixture, 1/4 of the onion and 1/4 of the tomato.
  4. Step 4: Fold the tortilla in half.
  5. Step 5: Cook the quesadilla in a lightly oiled skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  6. Step 6: Cut each quesadilla into wedges. Serve immediately with lettuce and ketchup for dipping.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding a thin layer of mustard to the tortilla before layering the other ingredients.
  • Store leftover quesadillas in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat quesadillas in a dry skillet or toaster oven to maintain crispness.
  • Serve with a side of tangy dill pickles for a classic cheeseburger accompaniment.
