Ingredients
- Orange juice, freshly squeezed: 1 1/2 cups
- Vanilla Greek Yogurt: 1 cup
- Heavy cream: 1/2 cup
- Granulated sugar: 1/4 cup
- Orange zest: 1 teaspoon
- Vanilla extract: 1/2 teaspoon
- Pinch of salt: 1/8 teaspoon
- Milk: 2 tablespoons
Instructions
- Step 1: In a medium bowl, whisk together the orange juice, Greek yogurt, heavy cream, sugar, orange zest, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined and smooth.
- Step 2: If the mixture is too thick, add milk to reach desired consistency. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
- Step 3: Pour the mixture evenly into popsicle molds, leaving a small amount of space at the top for expansion.
- Step 4: Insert popsicle sticks into the center of each mold.
- Step 5: Freeze for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight, until the popsicles are solid.
- Step 6: To release the popsicles from the molds, run the molds under warm water for a few seconds or dip them briefly in a bowl of warm water. Gently pull on the popsicle sticks to remove. Serve immediately or store in a freezer-safe bag for later.
Notes
- Store popsicles individually wrapped in plastic wrap or in a freezer bag to prevent freezer burn and sticking.
- For a creamier texture, let the popsicles sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before serving.
- Garnish the popsicles with extra orange zest or a drizzle of melted white chocolate for a beautiful presentation.
- Zest the orange *before* juicing it; it's much easier to zest a whole orange!
