Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons butter, divided
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Step 2: Add minced garlic and 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet. Cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Step 3: Stir in the cooked rice and beef broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the rice to absorb some of the broth.
- Step 4: Reduce heat to low. Stir in the heavy cream, cheddar cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Continue stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Step 5: Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and stir until melted and incorporated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Notes
- For optimal flavor, store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat gently in a skillet over low heat, adding a splash of beef broth or water if needed to maintain moisture.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or chives for a pop of color and herbaceous freshness.
- Don't overcrowd the skillet when browning the beef to ensure a nice sear and prevent steaming.
