Ingredients
Scale
- 1 loaf Italian or French bread
- 1 pound spaghetti
- 1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Cut the loaf of bread into 4 equal pieces. Hollow out the inside of each piece, leaving about a 1/2 inch border of bread to form a bowl.
- Step 2: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, and parsley. Brush the inside of each bread bowl with the garlic butter mixture. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Step 3: Place the bread bowls on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Step 4: While the bread bowls are baking, cook the spaghetti according to package directions. Drain the spaghetti and toss with the marinara sauce.
- Step 5: Fill each garlic bread bowl with the spaghetti and marinara sauce mixture. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftover spaghetti separately from the bread bowls to prevent them from getting soggy.
- Reheat leftover spaghetti filling in the microwave and the bread bowls in the oven for best texture.
- Garnish each bowl with an extra sprinkle of Parmesan cheese and a fresh parsley sprig for a restaurant-worthy presentation.
- For a richer garlic flavor, lightly sauté the minced garlic in the olive oil before adding it to the melted butter.
