Delicious steak & cheese rice recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Cooked White Rice: 2 cups
  • Sirloin Steak, thinly sliced: 1 pound
  • Onion, sliced: 1 medium
  • Green Bell Pepper, sliced: 1 medium
  • Provolone Cheese, sliced: 4 ounces
  • Olive Oil: 2 tablespoons
  • Soy Sauce: 1 tablespoon
  • Black Pepper: 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
  2. Step 2: Add sliced onion and green bell pepper to the same skillet. Cook until softened and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Return the cooked steak to the skillet with the vegetables. Stir in the soy sauce and black pepper. Cook for another minute to combine flavors.
  4. Step 4: Reduce heat to low. Stir in the cooked rice and mix well, ensuring the rice is heated through and coated with the steak and vegetable mixture.
  5. Step 5: Top the mixture with provolone cheese slices. Cover the skillet and allow the cheese to melt, about 1-2 minutes.
  6. Step 6: Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For best results, reheat individual portions in a skillet over medium heat, adding a splash of water or broth to prevent drying.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for added flavor and visual appeal.
  • Don't overcrowd the skillet when browning the steak; cook in batches to ensure even cooking and avoid steaming.
