- Turkey bacon: 8 slices
- Brown sugar: 1/4 cup, packed
- Soy sauce: 2 tablespoons
- Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder: 1 teaspoon
- Smoked paprika: 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil: 1 tablespoon
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- Step 2: In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Mix well.
- Step 3: Wrap each chicken breast with 2 slices of turkey bacon, securing with toothpicks if necessary.
- Step 4: Place the bacon-wrapped chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
- Step 5: Brush the brown sugar mixture generously over the bacon-wrapped chicken breasts.
- Step 6: Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the bacon is crispy. Remove toothpicks before serving.
Notes
- Store leftover chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For best reheating, gently warm the chicken in the oven or a skillet to keep the bacon crisp.
- Serve this sweet and savory chicken with a side of roasted vegetables or a simple salad for a complete meal.
- Chef's tip: Don't overcrowd the baking dish, as this will steam the chicken instead of allowing the bacon to crisp up nicely.
