Ingredients
- Shin Ramyun Noodles: 1 package
- Beef Sirloin Steak: 6 oz, thinly sliced
- Gochujang (Korean Chili Paste): 2 tablespoons
- Heavy Cream: 1/4 cup
- Soy Sauce: 1 tablespoon
- Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
- Green Onion: 2 stalks, chopped
- Sesame Oil: 1 teaspoon
Instructions
- Step 1: Marinate the beef: In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef with 1 tablespoon of gochujang, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, and minced garlic. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Step 2: Grill the beef: Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Grill the marinated beef for 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Set aside.
- Step 3: Cook the noodles: Cook the Shin Ramyun noodles according to package directions, reserving about 1/2 cup of the noodle water. Discard the seasoning packet that comes with the noodles (or save it for another use).
- Step 4: Prepare the creamy sauce: In a small saucepan, combine the remaining 1 tablespoon of gochujang, heavy cream, and a splash of the reserved noodle water. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Step 5: Assemble the ramen: Drain the noodles and add them to a bowl. Pour the creamy sauce over the noodles, then top with the grilled beef. Garnish with chopped green onions and a drizzle of sesame oil. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftover beef and noodles separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator to prevent the noodles from becoming soggy.
- When reheating, add a splash of water or broth to the noodles and beef to help them rehydrate and prevent them from drying out.
- Garnish with a soft-boiled egg for extra protein and a richer flavor, complementing the spiciness and creaminess.
- For a deeper, more complex flavor in the beef, consider adding a pinch of brown sugar and a dash of black pepper to the marinade.
