Ingredients
- Cooked Chicken, shredded: 2 cups
- Chicken Sausage, cooked and diced: 1 cup
- Cream Cheese, softened: 4 ounces
- Cheddar Cheese, shredded: 1 cup
- Refrigerated Biscuit Dough: 1 can (8 biscuits)
- Green Onion, chopped: 1/4 cup
- Garlic Powder: 1 teaspoon
- Milk or Egg Wash: 1 tablespoon
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, diced chicken sausage, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onion, and garlic powder. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Step 3: Separate the biscuit dough into individual biscuits. Flatten each biscuit slightly with your fingers or a rolling pin.
- Step 4: Place a spoonful (about 2 tablespoons) of the chicken mixture onto the center of each flattened biscuit.
- Step 5: Bring the edges of the biscuit up and around the filling, pinching to seal tightly. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Step 6: Brush the tops of the biscuit bites with milk or egg wash for a golden-brown finish. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Store cooled biscuit bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For best results, reheat in a 350°F (175°C) oven or air fryer to re-crisp the biscuits.
- Serve these warm with a dollop of sour cream or a side of your favorite hot sauce for dipping.
- Don't overfill the biscuits or they will be harder to seal; a slightly heaping tablespoon is perfect!
