Delicious divine brown butter peach cobbler: 5-ingredient magic recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ripe peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a small (8×8 inch) baking dish.
  2. Step 2: Make the brown butter: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Continue cooking, swirling the pan occasionally, until the butter turns a light brown color and has a nutty aroma (about 5-7 minutes). Be careful not to burn it. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Step 3: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Add the cooled brown butter and milk; stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Step 4: Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Arrange the sliced peaches evenly over the top of the batter.
  5. Step 5: Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the cobbler is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Step 6: Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

  • Store leftover cobbler in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat individual servings in the microwave for 30-60 seconds, or until warmed through.
  • Serve a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream alongside for extra indulgence.
  • For extra nutty flavor, toast the flour lightly in a dry pan before adding it to the batter.
