Delicious easy lasagna recipe – alrightwithme recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Ground beef: 1 pound
  • Lasagna noodles: 9 (oven-ready or regular)
  • Ricotta cheese: 15 ounces
  • Spaghetti sauce: 24 ounces
  • Mozzarella cheese: 2 cups, shredded
  • Parmesan cheese: 1/2 cup, grated
  • Egg: 1 large
  • Dried oregano: 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drain any excess grease and stir in the spaghetti sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, Parmesan cheese, and oregano. Mix well.
  3. Step 3: Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Step 4: Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce. Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, then top with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.
  5. Step 5: Repeat layers: sauce, 3 noodles, remaining ricotta mixture, 1 cup of mozzarella. Top with final 3 noodles and remaining sauce.
  6. Step 6: Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Leftover lasagna slices are delicious reheated in the microwave, but for the best texture, try baking them covered at 350°F until warmed through.
  • For easier slicing, let the lasagna cool for at least 15 minutes after baking – patience is a virtue!
  • Freeze individual portions of lasagna for a quick and satisfying meal anytime, wrapping tightly in plastic wrap and foil after cooling completely.
  • For a richer flavor, brown the ground beef with a diced onion and a clove or two of garlic before adding the spaghetti sauce.
